  Karen Howard, on behalf of Sen. Patrick Gallivan, presents Post 1528 with a proclamation. Mayor Kevin Peterson and Town Supervisor Ronald Ruffino speak

  Commander Schu reads the names of the fallen on the memorial and Chaplain James Sterlace tolls the bell for each name. Firing detail at attention.

      

Firing detail Commander James Wolfe orders the detail to fire three volleys. Lance Becker, Jack Betz and Walter Buechi fire. Bugler Donald Schram sounds Taps.

The memorial wreath is then placed at the memorial. The flag is raised to full staff.

 

Gold Star mothers and families look on. Commander Schu presents a "Run for the Fallen" flag to Gold Star Mom Kathleen Zdzinski for LCPL Eric J. Orlowski,

first to fall in Iraq from this area.

Gold Star families attended from the families of LCPL Eric J. "O-Dogg" Orlowski, PFC Travis C. Krege and SFC Raymond  J. Munden. Flowers were found at the memorial in the morning for SGT Cari Ann Gasiewicz and are shown in a photo above.
